About Us

 Knighton Lane Artists group are a cooperative providing affordable spaces for local artists in Leicester. Among our studio and associate membership we include painters, ceramicists, graphic designers, new media practitioners and sculptors among other disciplines.  We hold open studio events and exhibit pieces in local spaces as often as we are able.  
The Studios:
The studio layout is on three floors    Aspirations of KLA To provide workshops for non members in various disciplines of art & sculpture. Meet for presentations, critiques, open studios. Support environmental & ecological awareness including recycling materials. Inclusion of young and older people alike. Promote the sale of works by members.   
  History:
Knighton lane Artists was formed in 1982 by inspired professional artists resident in Leicester with the help of an Arts Council studio conversion grant.  The Studio at 68a Knighton Lane is rented from the Leicester City Council and has been funded by it's member since the beginning.
